1955 Harley FL Panhead Bobber
Luke from Appleton, Wisconsin, United States made available these photos of his 1955 Harley FL Panhead Bobber motorcycle which has very clean oldschool looks.
Luke: "The Panhead engine in this bike is an 88 inch stroker, professionally built from the ground up, using polished original matching 1955 cases. Inside, there are S&S heavy duty rods and forged pistons. The entire rotating assembly has been balanced. The STD heads have been ported, and matched, and use Black diamond valves.
The engine runs an Andrews "J" grind camshaft and Jims lifters with Crane hydraulic inserts for low maintenance. There is an S&S oil pump along with a modified breather. This engine is using a S&S super E carb, Cycle Electric generator, and regulator, and Mallory electronic ignition for added reliability, and easy starts."
This Harley Bobber has a highly modified wishbone frame with hidden wiring, and an in-line springer front end.
Wheels are 21" and 16" factory Harley Davidson rims, custom laced with stainless spokes to powdercoated Star hubs.
The Panhead engine in this Oldschool Bobber is an 88 cubic inch stroker. Of course she's kick start only!
The shotgun style pipes are baffled, and are finished with Bates cones.
While this Harley Oldschool Bobber looks very smooth and pretty, she is also very hardcore.
Note that she has left foot clutch, left hand suicide shift, kickstart only, and rear brake only.
Detail of In-line Springer Fork.
Note the indentations in the left side of the gas tank, that's where the support of the gear shift handle used to be.
