1965 OEM Panhead Bobber Project
John from Omaha, Nebraska, United States made available these photos of his 1965 Harley OEM Panhead Bobber Project. John's project is based on a 1965 OEM Panhead engine, a Kraft Tech hardtail frame, and a matching pair of Avon Venom X tires which have very narrow white walls and look very cool.
John describes the status of his Harley Davidson Bobber project as follows: This bike has been pre assembled, but the Kraft Tech frame has not been welded on. The motor has been run, but never in a bike."
John: "New Kraft Tech frame with 30 degrees rake, with 84-99 style tank mounts. New 5 gallon gas tanks with Pingle pitcock. New 84-99 powder coated oil tank with battery box. Leather flamed seat with shock absorbers."
John: "This is a 1965 Harley oem motor with standard heads. New S&S carburator 88 cu". S&S flywheels B cam solid lifters. New 4-speed rachet style trans. with chrome kicker cover. Suicide shifter. New 3" primo brute 4 beltdrive with clutch, t.p.p. variable pressure plate. Front & rear polished aluminum pully covers. Polished flamed aluminum front pully guard. Chrome rear sprocket with new chain with red links. New drag pipes with copper exhuast wrap."
John: "Cats Eye dash kit. 9" raised T bars. Powder coated fire engine red spoked mags with Avon Venom-X narrow white wall tires."
John: "Powder coated wide glide front end with rubber boot protectors & with polished aluminum narrow glide wheel conversion kit. Chrome axle rear, hidden axle front. GMA front & rear calipers. GMA front master cylinder. Spoked rotors. Braided steel brake lines."
John: "I also have a kick stand assembly & hardware. Early style head light assembly & powder coated license plate holder with brake light."
John: "Things that are needed to finish this Bobber project include ignition, coil, wiring, brakets welded for exhaust and rear brake, powder coating or paint, and forward controls."
